The breakfast can’t be beat and we enjoy relaxing on the screened porches or up on the lighthouse room deck with the beautiful view of the harbor. It’s so convenient having free bikes and the pool. "We have stayed at the Castle twice, once in their smallest room and one in the biggest (The harbor room sleeps 4 comfortably!) The inn/motel options in Ocracoke can be tricky. Lots of old, lots of run-down - rough around the edges. The Castle has a history and a great old-school vibe, rooms are all different and so charming- lots of slanted roof lines and cozy nooks and corners. Yes it is quirky but that's what makes it such a good choice. Parking is easy, location is amazing, great views from the decks, great little pool, bikes you can borrow anytime, GREAT BREAKFAST!!! We were on island with 7 families all in different spots and we were the happiest with our stay. They manage to make a reasonably priced stay and not feel cheap or jenky. The staff is SO SO SO nice and you feel like you can come and go and it feels private even with the common space. The Castle seems to draw a really wonderful crowd, no rif-raf or loud partiers, just great people looking to enjoy the beach and the harbor."

"My daughter and I had a lovely 4 day stay at The Castle B&B. The Castle is ideally located right across from Silver Lake, leading to beautiful views at any time, but especially from their raised dock out by the lake and from the cupola on the roof. The front desk manager was extremely helpful, providing an answer or assistance for every need we had. We rented a golf cart through the B&B which turned out to be a great idea for our stay. Breakfast was convenient and delicious. The pool area was clean and enjoyable. We stayed in 2 rooms - Jane and Mary - and both had very comfortable beds with nice linens. *It's important to add that the entire B&B was extremely clean from our rooms and bathrooms to the kitchen, living, and dining areas. We will definitely stay at The Castle again."

"We had the best time at The Castle! Three girlfriends for a quick overnight getaway, the Harbor suite was perfect with three beds. Upon arriving we were greeted by a young man (we didn't get his name) that gave us a tour and made us feel right at home. The Castle was like stepping into a time capsule. We joked and called it "Grandma's house" and loved every minute of it. We had access to bikes and pool. The location is perfect for riding a bike anywhere on the island. The view from the rooftop deck couldn't have been better. Sunset was right after a little afternoon storm, the sky looked like a masterpiece! Do yourself a favor and do not miss the sunset from up there. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The same young man that greeted us at the front desk cooked eggs, bacon and grits. We ate in the formal dining room with other guests. We'll definitely be back to The Castle aka "Grandma's House" Thank you for your hospitality! "
