"Thus was my first ever bed and breakfast, and I have to say that this was an excellent choice I made! I called in to make my initial reservation, and the young lady was so nice, and so helpful, so I figured that I made a good choice. Upon my arrival, the young man that was working in the front office checked me in, gave me my key and gave me a tour of the property, and all the information that I needed for my stay. The next morning was breakfast, and the young lady preparing the breakfast was truly such a nice person! I ended up leaving her a huge tip because the breakfast that she prepared was so good! I highly recommend anyone to stay at this bed and breakfast while you're on the Ocracoke Island. It's very convenient to all of the shops and restaurants. "

"I started coming to Ocracoke as a young boy in the 70s and was always fascinated by The Castle, which then sat empty. Imagine my joy, decades later, to be able to actually spend a few nights in this beautiful and historic property. I had rented a house for a week and wanted to stay for a couple of extra days before heading back to reality. Options were few, but The Castle did have an opening in the Lighthouse Room (I highly recommend!). Being there made me wish I had spent my entire week there. I will certainly consider that my next time on the island. The new management team is outstanding and a special shout-out to Zachariah, who packed me a to-go breakfast bag the morning I had to depart to catch an early ferry. Little touches go a long way. Stay at The Castle and get treated like royalty!"

"We love the care and genuine concern the caretakers show to all the guests. We love staying here and have been coming for several years now. We were a bit concerned when we found out that some of the staff was new but Marta is wonderful as are all folks we dealt with. Breakfasts are terrific and we always look forward to coming back every year!! BTW, the castle was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. It’s obvious it is being well taken care of."
